| Abstract Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most extensively studied phytocannabinoids due to its lack of psychoactive effects and its proven biological properties [1], including anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic and neuroprotective effects. Currently, purified CBD formulations are already usedin the clinical treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy. However, conventionalextraction methods based on organic solvents present issues related to toxicity, flammability and high energy and environmental impact [2]. This study proposes an eco-sustainable extraction of CBD from Cannabis sativa L., based on the use of Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) [3]. Subsequently, the research focused on the preparation of DES composed directlyof CBD [4] and oleic acid, exploring their potential for pharmaceutical applicationsas innovative systems in the pharmaceutical sector. |
