VITA project: kick-off meeting

The VITA project – Advanced AI-powered methods for optimal personalized treatment of Ventricular TAchycardias – has officially started.

The project, funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and supported by Sardegna Ricerche under the public call “PROOF of CONCEPT 2024 – Enhancing the value of research results in biomedicine”, aims to develop innovative methodologies based on advanced signal processing and artificial intelligence to make the treatment of post-ischemic ventricular tachycardias increasingly personalized and effective.

The initiative was launched with the kick-off meeting held on October 15th, 2025, a valuable opportunity for clinicians and researchers to discuss the project’s challenges and objectives.

During the event:

  • Giulia Baldazzi introduced the project, presenting the Proof of Concept 2024 call, the funding framework, and VITA’s overall objectives;
  • Graziana Viola provided a clinical overview of ventricular tachycardia, highlighting its impact and current therapeutic strategies;
  • Marco Orrù and Nicla Mandas presented the research activities carried out at the MeDSP Lab, which form the scientific foundation on which VITA intends to build innovative solutions.
