Cagliari is the capital city of Sardinia. Settled on seven hills, it dominates the wonderful Golfo degli Angeli. The city of Cagliari is a great combination of historical sites and natural areas which makes the city a very nice place to enjoy. Moreover, the city faces on a gorgeous, 9 km long beach, called Poetto, where people use to practice jogging, biking and having a drink or a dinner right in front of the sea. Moreover, Cagliari is also a birdwatcher’s dreamland, thanks to its huge wetland areas of Santa Gilla and Molentargius, protected by the EU, with a rich and diverse wildlife, dominated by large colonies of pink flamingos. We will do our best to make the meeting a truly enjoyable experience joining together science with the natural beauties of our country.
