- Laura Follesa is a RTD-A at the University of Cagliari with a project on F.W.J. Schelling. Her research focus is on the role of analogies in philosophical and scientific reasoning and the intersection between philosophies of nature and scientific thought in the modern age
- Sean J. McGrath researches and teaches in the areas of metaphysics, classical German philosophy (Kant to Heidegger), phenomenology and hermeneutics, and psychoanalysis. He is Visiting Professor 2025 at the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, Philosophy at the University of Cagliari*

Brief description of the course: The seminar will examine key authors and texts that contributed to the development of the notion of the unconscious, to the study of sleep and dreams, and to the emergence of modern psychology.
Structure of the seminar meetings: The course consists of three sessions, each devoted to the reading and discussion of short passages from G. H. Schubert, C. G. Carus, and A. Schopenhauer, focusing on themes related to the notion of the unconscious, the study of sleep and dreams, and the origins of modern psychology.
