Starting from a detailed examination of Schelling’s writings and his sources referring to sleep theories of the past, the project aims at providing novel impulses to the contemporary debates on sleep at a multidisciplinary level, involving ethics, psychology, and neurosciences and establishes comprehensive theoretical foundations for a reconsideration of sleep-related policies in modern human societies.*
