Research abstract
According to the international HBSC study (2021/2022), indicators of adolescent distress are on the rise. There is a need to rethink the role of schools as promoters of health from the WHO’s perspective: health and well-being as a state of physical, mental and social well-being.
A training model is proposed from an aesthetic perspective, understood as a reflective, ethically grounded approach, in order to develop a transformative and holistic teaching methodology centred on student development.
Educational and pedagogical theories such as those of J. Dewey and E. Morin are presented, which associate learning with active experience, participatory thinking and complex thinking. The duality of aesthetics and science is explored, along with the contribution of art to the educational experience, which enriches teaching practice.
Empirical research focuses on teaching methods that interrelate art, play and narrative, in order to conceive a model of transformative, inclusive and healthy practice.
