Network Security

Network Security was one of the most relevant topics within computer security due to the early massive usage of computer networks to make systems communicate.

Pra Lab worked for years in network security, designing and implementing different methodologies and frameworks that can identify potential anomalies in network traffic (Intrusion Detection Systems – IDS). The approaches applied followed the theory of unsupervised machine learning to cluster unlabelled network data. Indeed, the aim was to discover hidden patterns without the need for human intervention (i.e. data labels) in such a way network data may be classified as anomalies or ordinary network flow.
