(Tutor: Prof. Marco Giunti) – A situated approach to consciousness in learning processes

My main research experience is focussed on the field of mind philosophy, epistemology, and philosophy of science. I have been working as a researcher in the PhD program of Cagliari University. I trained and developed my expertise in the optimisation of the notion of consciousness in different ways of learning, neural and cognitive, and their multimodal characterisation to improve their processing, working in collaboration with many colleagues from philosophical, medical and neurophysiological institutions. I explored the notions of identity and action, working in an international research program at Exeter University, particularly in conjunction with extended mind theory and embodied cognition theory. I improved my knowledge in the neural field working in an international research program between three different prolific research realities at Lisbon University, in order to try to connect neural and cognitive learning processes. I focus on a situated and timing-based perspective, exploring synchronic structures of neural activations and their possible meaning and extensions.
