Patricia Ayllòn Salas

I graduated with a degree in Primary Education and completed a Master’s in Research and Innovation in Curriculum and Training at the University of Granada. My PhD thesis, titled “Evidence on the Efficacy of Service-Learning”, examines how service-learning interventions boost personal, socioemotional, academic, and civic competencies among students in compulsory and higher education. Service-learning, an increasingly prominent methodology, integrates community service with academic curricula. However, evidence of its educational impact remains limited, hampered by methodological shortcomings, particularly beyond the United States. This project bridges those gaps by synthesizing existing evidence and developing and evaluating rigorous new service-learning interventions.
