CONTRIBUTION TYPES

The workshop entails two different types of sessions:

  • oral sessions
  • interactive sessions

Another option is to submit a special session proposal, which consists of six invited contributions on a common topic.

To propose a special session the organizer has to upload a two-page document explaining the goals and contents of the session, whereas corresponding authors will separately and independently upload their own contribution as a regular contribution.

English will be the official language for the submissions and for the presentation material. A time slot of 15 minutes will be devoted to each presentation.

The Italian language will be instead generally used during the oral sessions, except for foreigner contributions.

Research groups are invited to encourage the active participation of young researchers, post-doc researchers and doctoral students.

During the submission select one of the following topics

  • Analysis
  • Identification & Control
  • Robotics and automotive
  • Networked systems
  • Applications in control engineering

Contributions consist of an extended abstract of at most 2 pages (free format) including figures and references. Contributions should not be intended as original and unpublished works but instead as concise reports, accessible to the whole community, of individual research lines or by small groups, developed in the last two or three years.

Contributions could also be devoted to summarizing the results of recently concluded, or ongoing, research projects as well as to illustrate specific experimental application of theoretical results. Contributions will be evaluated by a Program Committee on a scientific value basis.

Oral sessions contributions consist of oral presentations of theoretical and/or applied results whereas interactive sessions contributions are generally devoted to poster presentations and/or “hands-on” demonstrations, e.g. presentation of small experimental apparatus, numerical toolboxes, robotic testbed, etc.

Contributors to the interactive sessions may either upload a standard extended abstract (where it should be indicated the work will be presented by a poster) or directly upload the poster, if ready.

Nevertheless, the final decision on the acceptances and the type of presentation will however be taken by the Program Committee.

AWARDS

As usual, SIDRA will assign awards to the two best contributions presented at the workshop, according to the evaluation of an Award Committee. Contributions will be evaluated based on their theoretical and application value, as well as the quality of the presentation. Each award will consist of 1.000€ to be shared by the authors of each selected contribution.
