Health Psychology Specialization School of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, Philosophy

Andrea Fracci

A psychologist registered with the Order of Psychologists of Sardinia (n. 4055), currently specializing in Health Psychology.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques with a thesis on the intersubjective nature of the mind based on the transition from single-person to relational theories. I then completed my university studies in Clinical Psychology in 2023 with a thesis focused on the analysis of digital phenomena from a psychodynamic perspective, a work in which I placed social media and artificial intelligence through the lens of depth psychology. Subsequently, I completed my postgraduate internship at the “Ananke” Center for the Treatment of Eating Disorders in Cagliari, where, together with a multidisciplinary team, I collaborated on the design of various interventions aimed at treating Eating and Nutrition Disorders. I still collaborate with the Ananke Center, driven by a desire to study and work with “new forms of symptoms,” including anorexia and bulimia.
Not only clinical: I am currently involved in action research as part of the university project “Pro-ben MoEBIUS,” aimed at promoting academic well-being and preventing maladaptive behavior in the digital world.
I chose to specialize in Health Psychology, convinced that the psyche does not reside exclusively “within”: territories also have a psyche. Therefore, all psychological conditions must be investigated in relation to the symbolic-cultural context in which they take root, without ever separating them from the body and the profound uniqueness of the individual.
Alongside my professional activity, I cultivate a strong passion for writing and, more generally, for the literary and audiovisual arts: hence my interest in the processes of creative and narrative expression as fundamental psychic functions.
