The School of Specialization in Health Psychology aims to train psychologists specialized in the field of health psychology throughout the life cycle.
Graduates in psychology with a license to practice the profession who have passed the admission exam can access it.
The School develops skills in the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions related to the promotion of psychological well-being and health at the individual, couple, family, group and community levels.
The health psychologist works in different health, educational, social-assistance, work and leisure contexts.
The specialization title issued by the School qualifies the practice of the psychotherapeutic profession.

The School Council is convened to elect the School Director for the three-year period 2025-2028:
- First ballot: Wednesday, September 17, 2025
- Second ballot: Monday, September 22, 2025.
Location of teaching activities
Starting on March 2025, unless otherwise indicated, teaching activities will take place at the Territorial Activities Service of the R.A.S. – Ex CISAPI, in via Piero Della Francesca in Su Planu, reachable from 554 – “Su Planu” exit, or from via Della Francesca, or from via Crespellani, or with bus no.20.

Regulations
The school was activated in the 2019-20 academic year with
the old Ministerial Decree no. 50 of 21 January 2019
(five-year order for schools in the psychological area).
Starting from the 2020-21 academic year, the school follows
the new annex to the Ministerial Decree of 24 July 2006
(four-year order for schools in the psychological area)
and currently has

Secretariat
The SSPS office is located in the Secretariat of the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Philosophy, of which it is a part.
Public office hours:
- Wednesday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm,
- Thursday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm,
- Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

SSPS Network constitution
During the XV SIPSA Congress (5-7 June 2025), the Directors of the SSPS’s, with the support of SIPSA, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), relating to the constitution of the Network of Specialization Schools in Health Psychology (RSSPS), with the aim of promoting, at a national and international level, the model of Health Psychology in the Health System, in Organizations and in Third Sector Entities.
In particular, the RSSPS is committed to:
- organize at least one annual event in which the people enrolled in each school can meet and exchange knowledge and experiences;
- support the National Congress of Health Psychology by organizing at least one Symposium on the topics of Study;
- participate in the International Congress of Health Psychology to promote the exchange of knowledge and models by facilitating the participation of at least one person enrolled for each School.
