The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interconnected global goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda. This survey aims to collect opinions about the relevance of SDGs in the field of telecommunications and the willingness of users to support sustainability-oriented network solutions. The questionnaire includes questions about the perceived importance of SDGs, willingness to contribute to sustainable network practices, willingness to pay for more sustainable services, and acceptable performance trade-offs to reduce environmental impact.

The survey “Toward Sustainable Networks: SDG Priorities and User Preferences in Telecommunications” aims to collect opinions about the relevance of the Sustainable Development Goals in the field of telecommunications and the willingness of users to support sustainability-oriented network solutions. The questionnaire includes questions about the perceived importance of the SDGs, the willingness to contribute to sustainable network practices, the willingness to pay for more sustainable services, and the level of service performance reduction that respondents may accept in order to reduce environmental impact.
Participation in this survey is voluntary. You may choose not to answer any question, and you may stop completing the survey at any time before submitting your responses.
The survey collects the following personal data: age, gender, country of birth, country of residence, profession field, education level, and email address (optional). The email address is collected on a voluntary basis. It will be used only for research purposes (e.g., to allow follow-up contact and prevent duplicate submissions), and it will not be published or shared publicly.
The data controller is the University of Cagliari. The collected data will be used exclusively for scientific research activities within the Net4U Laboratory. After the data collection phase, the dataset will be anonymized and may be published for research transparency and reproducibility purposes.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
