Prof. Luigi Atzori led the students of the Internet course in the Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering in an unprecedented educational experience, delivering an interactive lecture on the metaverse.
The metaverse, a term that refers to a three-dimensional virtual world reflecting the real world, has captured the attention of many scholars and professionals worldwide. Prof. Atzori decided to bring this technology into the classroom, offering students a unique opportunity to explore and understand concepts related to this emerging field.
The lecture took place within the Meta Horizon Workrooms platform and actively engaged the students, allowing them to interact directly with virtual elements present in the environment. Using customized avatars, students were able to follow the lecture as if they were inside a real classroom.
Below are some screenshots of the experience lived by the students.
