The main goal of MONIFIVE (MONItoraggio distribuito sicuro, affidabile ed intelligente su tecnologie 5G: applicazione alla mobilità ed al servizio idrico) is to experiment the utilization of huge amounts of data to implement intelligent applications for the Smart City based on innovative and emerging technologies, such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA).
These technologies will be fundamental to implement two use cases related to the Green Economy sector: Sustainable Mobility and Smart Water Management.
- The Sustainable Mobility use case aims to monitor the movement of groups of people during specific events, such as celebrations, demonstrations, cruise disembarkation, in order to provide useful information to plan the mobility services of the city.
- The Smart Water Management use case aims to add sensor devices in the water treatment plant to monitor and optimize the process of water purification and to control the water quality.
The use cases will be implemented in pilot sites in the urban and extraurban area of the city of Cagliari thanks to the collaboration of CTM, Abbanoa and the town of Guspini.
