Congratulations to Luigi Atzori, head of the Networks for Humans lab, for once again securing a significant position in the prestigious World’s Top 2% Scientists ranking! This recognition, based on the Stanford University ranking using Scopus data, places him at the top place among all scientists at the University of Cagliari for in the author career ranking.
We also celebrate Michele Nitti for his inclusion in the single year ranking.
The “World’s Top 2% Scientists” ranking, compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier, highlights the most influential researchers globally. Based on Scopus data, it evaluates nearly 9 million scientists, identifying the top 100,000 or the top 2% cited scholars in their fields. The ranking uses a composite score (c-score) that includes metrics such as total citations, h-index, and citations for single, first, or last-authored papers. It covers 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, offering a comprehensive view of scientific impact across disciplines.
