COOG-IT

The COOG-IT project (CarpOOling for Green communITies) is developed in participation between GreenShare SRL and University of Cagliari. It is centered on the definition of the last-mile carpooling in urban areas. This evolution of the carpooling scenario is studied to design a solution that incentivizes the users to choose this sustainable mobility solution for their trip.

    The project follows these requirements:

    1. Interoperability – Need to integrate a last-mile carpooling system with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to automatize the exchange of information between two different and independent systems.
    2. Quality of Experience (QoE) – Need of key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate as the users percept the messages that the system sends them. Using the evaluation of these KPIs the system can be easily improved.
    3. User Persuasion – Need of strategies to persuade the users to choose carpooling for their trips.

In light of the abovementioned requirements, the goals of this project are: definition of standard architecture, protocol and APIs to integrate last-mile carpooling with an ERP system; definition of QoE KPIs to evaluate the perception of users experience; definition of strategies and methodologies to improve the user persuasion.
