Biographical Sketch
Marco Garau is an Electronic engineer, majoring in Telecommunications Engineering. He has been engaged in research in the Biometrics Laboratory of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Cagliari (Italy) until 2018, in the field of personal identification by electroencephalogram. Since 2018 he has been engaged as a researcher, and member of the Net4U Laboratory of the DIEE in Cagliari, Italy, in the SIMPLE Cluster project (Tools and Models For Sustainable Mobility), where he developed a system for automatic ticket validation using smartphones and BLE beacons. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Cagliari, with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE/UdR CNIT), under the supervision of Prof. L. Atzori. His research interests are the Internet of Things and Smart Mobility. He is currently engaged, at IT-Euromedia (Selargius), in an internship as a software engineer, where he is involved in several projects, including “SmartAMP Capo Carbonara”.
