REACHING THE CONFERENCE VENUE

From the airport to Cagliari City Centre (Piazza Matteotti/ Via Roma)
You can reach the centre of Cagliari by train. You can take the train at the railway station of Elmas Airport. The station is only seven minutes’ walk from the terminal building and the journey to Cagliari city centre (Piazza Matteotti) takes five to seven minutes. Tickets can be bought at the vending machines (located both in the Arrivals area of the air terminal and inside the train station), online and by official ticket counters. One ticket costs € 1,30.From Cagliari City centre to Elmas Airport. You can take the train in Piazza Matteotti train station; the journey to the airport takes about seven minutes. Tickets are sold inside the station at the tickets’ office on the left and at the vending machines. BUSES IN CAGLIARI

You must have a ticket before you get on a bus. Tickets can be bought at newsstands, at the tobacconist’s, at ticket vending machines on Piazza Matteotti and at CTM Point in Viale Trieste 139.

A single ticket costs € 1.30 (sold on board € 1.70) and is valid for an hour and a half on any bus. A full-day ticket costs € 3.30 and is valid for unlimited rides on buses until midnight of the day it was first validated. A block of twelve tickets costs € 13 and each ticket is valid 90 minutes on any buses (see http://www.ctmcagliari.it/pieghevole_tariffe.pdf).
