Head of the Laboratory of Forensic Toxicology.
President of the scientific association Tossicologi Forensi Italiani (GTFI).
Main areas of expertise: Research in psychotropic drugs and drugs of abuse, development of analytical methods for their determination.
Application to drug-facilitated crimes (DFC), driving under the influence of psychotropic substances, workplace drug testing, postmortem toxicology, epidemiological studies.
Analysis of seizures of substances from the underground market, including doping agents.
Scientific manager of funded research projects on DFC, identification of NPS (New Psychoactive Substances) in seizures and in biological samples.
Scientific advisor to WADA (World Antidoping Agency) and ITIA (International Tennis Integrity Agency).
More than 80 publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals.
Co-author of five book chapters in the field of Forensic and Analytical Toxicology.
