Our research activities focus on thermochemical conversion processes aimed at valorizing waste and residual biomass into energy, energy carriers, and functional carbon-based materials for multiple technological applications. During the last years, we have focused on Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) processes alone or in combination with other processes.
