BullyBuster at the European Day Against Harassment in Rome
On the occasion of the European Day Against Harassment, Prof. Gian Luca Marcialis took part as a speaker in the event hosted by the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) at Esperienza Europa – David Sassoli in Rome.
Now in its fifth edition, the event brought together institutions, sport leaders, schools, researchers and students in a shared commitment to prevention, awareness-raising and social responsibility.
During his speech, Prof. Marcialis presented the BullyBuster project and the work of the Interuniversity Research Centre “BullyBuster”, coordinated by the Biometrics Unit of the SAIfer Lab – Joint Lab on Safety and Security of AI (University of Cagliari) in collaboration with the research teams of the University of Bari, University of Naples Federico II, and the University of Foggia. The contribution highlighted how interdisciplinary research integrating artificial intelligence, psychology, and legal expertise can be translated into concrete tools for the prevention of bullying and cyberbullying in schools.
The event also featured a particularly meaningful moment with the presentation of the 2026 stamp against Bullying and Cyberbullying by Poste Italiane. Participants applied the official commemorative postmark, symbolically reinforcing the collective commitment to safeguarding young people.
