This full-day workshop is split in two parts (namely morning and afternoon). In the first part, the talk of a keynote speaker will introduce the workshop organization and how HCI and Recommender Systems are employed together in the current literature. After that, we will proceed with the presentation of the accepted papers. Each talk will be followed by a set of questions and it will ground discussions on the presented research, demo or position.
In the second part, we will try to summarize the different problems and positions emerged during the morning. We will ask the participants to name three challenges and opportunities that they see in the development of HCI for Recommender Systems. After that, we will start an open discussion, moderated by the organizers for fostering future collaborations among the participants and setting up a road map for shared initiatives (e.g., other editions of the workshop, special issues in high-level journals, research funding opportunities and so on).
