It’s a closed-loop water channel 8.0 m long, 0.40 m wide and 0.50 m deep.

Water recirculation system: water is derived from an underground tank by 4 hydraulic pumps and sent in a second tank through a pressure pipeline. From this second tank water could flow through the open channel until it turns back in the first tank.

The lateral window-panes along the open channel allow the observations of water flow.
Different flow conditions could be obtained changing the channel slope or using different optional equipment.
