SpAM in Labour 2024 T Hotel booking formThe local organizing committee obtained several discounted rates for your stay in Cagliari. When you book, please consider in advance staying a bit more than the minimum to enjoy Sardinia. Some informal activities (to be paid separately) will be organized on Sunday and after Wednesday for those who want, but also consider spending some time on your own to visit autonomously our astonishing island.
The official hotel for SPaM2024, for our senior/faculty attendees, is Hotel Regina Margherita. Conveniently located close to the city harbor, Via Roma, and downtown Cagliari, this 4-star hotel has 30 rooms already blocked for the SPaM2024 event (until March 21st, possibly extended). Every attendee interested in staying there must fill in this form and send it to the hotel ASAP, according to the instructions in the form. The prices are very convenient for the period, location, and hotel quality, at only 115€/person in the double for single use, breakfast included.
The official residence for SPaM2024, for junior attendees, is the University of Cagliari Guest House. The guest house has blocked the whole structure for our event delegates. As the cost is extremely low, we kindly ask seniors to refrain from booking this option, leaving it to our students, post-docs, … There is the availability of 10 single rooms and 4 double rooms (no single use, so a good fit for two people coming from the same institution. If you can use this option, please do that, otherwise, if no single room is available, I can try mixing up at least on a gender basis…) with private bathrooms. Prices vary from 31€ to 47€/person, breakfast is not included and unavailable on site (but there are cafeterias nearby). Please notice that this solution is available from June 30 on, as before the guest house is fully booked for another event. A customized form for this residence is available here.
Other options are available in the same area and further, of course. Cagliari is full of B&B, hotels, etc. Some further discounted rates, without pre-reserved rooms, have been negotiated with other hotels:
- Palazzo Tirso is a 5-star boutique hotel with SpA recently opened in a 1920 historic building, very close to the other hotel and the harbor. A special rate, starting from 250€/person in the double for single use, breakfast included, was kindly offered by the Hotel. Please look at the instructions here to reserve a room.
- Hotel Carlo Felice is a small boutique hotel close to Piazza Yenne, the vibrating heart of the Cagliari’s movida, also close to the University Guest House. For those of you interested in staying there, directly contact the hotel reserving a room by asking for the 10% discounted rate for the University of Cagliari (SPAM 2024 Workshop). Current availability is limited to 1 single and 6 double rooms, plus other superior rooms, starting from about 80€ for the single to 120€ for the double. Breakfast is not included (but there is a nice cafeteria downstairs and there’s the option to pay an extra to the hotel to include breakfast there).
- Hotel Italia is a 3-star hotel conveniently located in the historical Marina district, close to the harbor and to Piazza Yenne. Hotel Italia has a very special rate for the University of Cagliari (75€/88€/98€ for the single, double single-use, and double room, respectively) including breakfast. There is a limited availability (currently about 10 rooms). To obtain the discounted rate, ask for it specifying the agreement with the University of Cagliari.
- Hotel Villa Fanny is a 4-star boutique hotel surrounded by a wonderful garden, at 5 minutes walking from the conference venue. Availability is very limited (currently 5 rooms and 2 suites only). Thanks to an agreement with the University of Cagliari, a 20% discounted rate (starting from about 230€ for a double room (two guests), including breakfast, for the comfort rooms) will be guaranteed to our attendees who will book directly from their website, specifying University of Cagliari SPAM2024.
- T-Hotel is a modern 4-star hotel with SpA located close to the Cagliari Music Hall. This hotel is a bit far from downtown but is renowned for its hospitality and services. A special discounted rate will be ensured to those reserving directly from their website, filling in this form and sending it to the hotel. All conditions are reported there (prices from 145€/person on).
