{"id":1754,"date":"2015-09-16T09:34:43","date_gmt":"2015-09-16T09:34:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.unica.it\/smartstateestimation\/?page_id=1754"},"modified":"2020-10-17T09:34:52","modified_gmt":"2020-10-17T09:34:52","slug":"sara-sulis","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.unica.it\/smartstateestimation\/people\/sara-sulis\/","title":{"rendered":"Sara Sulis"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>en<\/h4><p><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.unica.it\/smartstateestimation\/files\/2015\/09\/Foto_Sara_Sito.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1774 \" src=\"http:\/\/sites.unica.it\/smartstateestimation\/files\/2015\/09\/Foto_Sara_Sito.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><strong>Short Curriculum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\">Sara Sulis is Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronic Measurements with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"> In March 2006, Dr. Sulis received the Ph.D. Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cagliari, where she also received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"> Her research activity concerns Power Quality issues, i.e. any deviations of voltage and current characteristics from sinusoidal, symmetrical conditions and nominal frequency, in power system with special attention to harmonic pollution issue. At the same time, she is studying the metrological qualification of the measurement processes involved in the above topics and a numerical approach based on a Monte Carlo probabilistic method as an advantageous alternative to the traditional analytical methods for the evaluation of the uncertainty in measurements achieved by digitally processing sampled input data.<br \/>\nIn last years the research work focused on distributed measurement systems applied to electric distribution grids and designed to study reliable methodologies to perform both the state estimation and harmonic state estimation of the network. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"> She is a member of IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society and of the GMEE, Associazione Italiana Gruppo Misure Elettriche ed Elettroniche. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"> She is co-author of more than one hundreds scientific papers, published in international Journals (IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, COMPEL, EPQU) and in Proceedings of national and international Conferences sponsored by IEEE Societies and IMEKO. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\">She is reviewer for international Journals (IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IET Generation, Transmission &amp; Distribution, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\">Electrical Power Quality and Utilization Journal, Mathematical Problems in Engineering) and for international conferences (IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), IEEE International Workshop on Applied Measurements for Power Systems (AMPS), Imeko IWADC); <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"> During 2013, she obtained the Faculty Course Development Award, funded by the Instrumentation and Measurement Society, for the course \u201cSistemi Automatici di Misura\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\" align=\"center\"><strong>Main research projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><span class=\"v14-nero\"> Principal investigator of the project <b>&#8220;Smart State Estimation: stima dello stato in una rete elettrica intelligente&#8221;<\/b> funded by the Region of Sardinia, &#8220;Bando RAS 2012&#8221;, L.R. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unica.it\/\"> Universit\u00e0 di Cagliari<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\">Presso la stessa Universit\u00e0 ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Ingegneria Industriale con la tesi \u201cMetodologie di analisi per la stima dei parametri di Power Quality\u201d e la Laurea in Ingegneria Elettrica, discutendo la tesi \u201cApplicazioni della Trasformata Wavelet alle Misure nei Sistemi Elettrici di Potenza\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\">La sua attivit\u00e0 di ricerca ha riguardato e riguarda le problematiche di Power Quality, con particolare attenzione per le problematiche di inquinamento armonico, la qualificazione metrologica dei processi di misura coinvolti nell\u2019acquisizione delle grandezze elettriche di interesse e lo studio della valutazione dell\u2019incertezza mediante procedure numeriche di tipo Monte Carlo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\">Negli ultimi anni la sua attivit\u00e0 di ricerca si \u00e8 focalizzata in particolare sullo studio di sistemi di misura distribuiti finalizzati alla stima dello stato e alla stima delle sorgenti armoniche nelle reti elettriche di distribuzione.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\">E&#8217; membro della IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society e dell&#8217;Associazione Italiana Gruppo Misure Elettriche ed Elettroniche, GMEE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\">E&#8217; coautrice di pi\u00f9 di cento lavori scientifici pubblicati su riviste internazionali (IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IET Generation, Transmission &amp;
