Variazione climatica e studio variazione processi crionivali in area mediterranea, tra la Sardegna e la Corsica<\/strong><\/p>\n

Si tratta di un progetto che, attraverso l\u2019esperienza acquisita durante la partecipazione in passato al Programma Nazionale Ricerche Antartide (P.N.R.A), intende acquisire dati in un area estremamente sensibile del Mediterraneo (distante dai ghiacciai alpini principali) sulla variazione dei processi crionivali tra la Sardegna e la Corsica al fine di meglio comprendere i cambiamenti climatici pi\u00f9 recenti conseguenti allo scenario di Global warming. Il Coordinatore Scientifico del CMGG, Prof Sandro DEMURO, partecipando alla spedizioni 1991, 1994 e 1995 nel Cile meridionale, ha infatti acquisito esperienza in oltre 15 anni di ricerche in aree del Cile meridionale (Sottoprogetto Magellano: Progetti dell’area tematica 1b-c: “Margini della Placca Antartica e Bacini Periantartici – Sottoprogetto: Sismostratigrafia e sedimentologia del Margine Cileno meridionale” e Progetti dell’area tematica 2-a: Glaciologia e Paleoclima). Durante questa attivit\u00e0 ha partecipato alle campagne oceanografiche in Pacifico con la Nave Oceanografica dell\u2019Osservatorio Sperimentale Triestino EXPLORA (1995) e realizzato l’Atlante delle Coste dello Stretto di Magellano. Il rilevamento effettuato durante le spedizioni citate ha permesso di continuare le attivit\u00e0 di ricerca fino ad oggi e di realizzare e pubblicare numerose carte geomorfologiche che descrivono i processi collegati alla variazione climatica OloPleistocenica in diretta conseguenza degli avanzamenti e arretramenti dei ghiacciai patagonici nell\u2019area dello Stretto di Magellano.
\nCon MED CLIMATHON si intende contribuire comprensione in area mediterranea della variazione dei processi geografico fisici e geomorfologici<\/p>\n
