Prof. Luigi Raffo (linkedIn, researchGate): il Prof. Luigi Raffo è professore ordinario di Elettronica al Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica ed Elettronica dell’Università di Cagliari. Ha conseguito la laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica all’Università di Genova nel 1989 e il titolo di dottorato in Elettronica ed Informatica nella stessa università nel 1994. Nello stesso anno è entrato a far parte del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica ed Elettronica dell’Università di Cagliari come ricercatore, nel 1998 è diventato professore associato e dal 2006 è professore ordinario di Elettronica. Il prof Raffo tiene un corso sulla progettazione di sistemi elettronici analogici e digitali e sulle architetture di processori per i corsi di studi in Ingegneria Elettronica e Biomedica. È stato responsabile del progetto EU IST-FET – IST – 2001-39266 – BEST e coordinatore di un’unità del progetto IST-FET – SHAPES – Scalable Software Hardware Architecture Platform for Embedded Systems e di diversi progetti industriali (tra gli altri: ST-Microelectronics – Extension of ST200 architecture for ARM binary compatibility, STMicroelectronics – Network on chip). È responsabile di diversi programmi di collaborazione nel campo dei sistemi embedded con varie università europee. È stato coordinatore del progetto europeo MADNESS (FP7/2007-2013) e coordinatore locale dei progetti ASAM (ARTEMIS-JU) e ALBA (progetto finanziato a livello nazionale) e leader del progetto RPCT (progetto finanziato a livello regionale).
Dr. Francesca Palumbo (linkedIn, researchGate): la Dr. Francesca Palumbo è una ricercatrice a tempo determinato dell’Università di Sassari, presso l’unità di Ingegneria dell’Informazione del dipartimento PolComIng. Ha conseguito la laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica all’Università di Cagliari nel 2005, un master in Progettazione di Sistemi Embedded nel 2006 presso l’Advanced Learning and Research Institute dell’Università di Lugano (Svizzera) e il dottorato in Ingegneria Elettronica e Informatica all’Università di Cagliari nel 2010. La sua attività di ricerca è principalmente volta alla progettazione di sistemi riconfigurabili e allo sviluppo di tool per la generazione automatica architetture hardware riconfigurabili avanzate. Nel campo della progettazione di sistemi riconfigurabili, ha ricevuto un Best Paper Award alla Conference on Design and Architectures for Signal and Image Processing nel 2011, con il lavoro intitolato “The Multi-Dataflow Composer tool: A runtime reconfigurable HDL platform composer”.
Carlo Sau (linkedIn, researchGate): Carlo Sau è uno studente di dottorato dell’Università di Cagliari. Ha conseguito la laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica all’Università di Cagliari nel 2012. A ottobre dello stesso anno ha iniziato una borsa di ricerca della durata di 3 mesi riguardante le metodologie per la generazione automatica di piattaforme riconfigurabili basate sul dataflow, argomento che sta portando avanti durante il suo dottorato iniziato a gennaio 2013. La sua attività di ricerca si focalizza principalmente sulla progettazione di sistemi riconfigurabili e sullo sviluppo di tool per la generazione automatica di architetture hardware riconfigurabili.
Tiziana Fanni (linkedIn, researchGate): Tiziana Fanni è una studentessa di dottorato presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica e Elettronica dell’Università degli Studi di Cagliari. Ha conseguito la laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica presso l’Università degli Studi di Cagliari nel 2014. Nel Giugno dello stesso anno ha iniziato una borsa di ricerca riguardante le metodologie per il risparmio del consumo di potenza in sistemi riconfigurabili basati sul modello dataflow. La sua attività di ricerca di focalizza sulla progettazione di sistemi riconfigurabili e sullo sviluppo di tool per la generazione automatica di architetture hardware riconfigurabili a basso consumo di potenza.

- Prof. Luigi Raffo (linkedIn, researchGate): Prof. Luigi Raffo is full professor of Electronics at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering – University of Cagliari (Italy). He received the “laurea degree” in Electronic Engineering at University of Genova (ITALY) in 1989, the PhD degree in Electronics and Computer Science at the same university in 1994. In 1994 he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of University of Cagliari (ITALY) as assistant professor, in 1998 became an associate professor and from 2006 he is a full professor of electronics. He teaches courses on system/digital and analog electronic design and processor architectures for the Courses of studies in Electronic and Biomedical Engineering. He was coordinator of the project EU IST-FET – IST – 2001-39266 – BEST and he was unit coordinator of the project EU IST-FET – SHAPES – Scalable Software Hardware Architecture Platform for Embedded Systems. He has been local coordinator of several industrial projects (among others: ST-Microelectronics – Extension of ST200 architecture for ARM binary compatibility, STMicroelectronics – Network on chip). He is responsible for cooperation programs in the field of embedded systems with several other European Universities. He was coordinator of the MADNESS EU Project (FP7/2007-2013) and local coordinator in the ASAM (ARTEMIS-JU) and ALBA projects (national founded project) and the leader of the RPCT project (regional founded project).
