Ilaria Picci
She graduated in Clinical Psychology from the University of Padua in 2020 with a thesis in Health Psychology entitled “Implementation of Advance Care Directives: the experience of healthcare workers and family members of patients with ALS.” The subject of her thesis developed from a pre-degree internship completed in 2019 at the Department of General Psychology at the University of Padua, aimed at developing a research project on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. She subsequently completed a post-degree professional internship at the Marino Hospital in Cagliari for a full year, primarily working in the Unipolar Spinal Unit. Through this professional experience, she acquired expertise in hospital psychology and emergency psychology, as well as in the interventions aimed at workers, family members, and patients following changed living conditions and traumatic events. Her internship ends in 2021. That same year, she qualified as a psychologist and enrolled in the School of Specialization in Health Psychology. She is currently attending the School of Specialization and completing her internship at the Addiction Services in Quartu Sant’Elena. She also participates in projects focusing on health and well-being for adolescents and adults.
