Gabriele Sorba
Gabriele Sorba earned his master’s degree in Developmental and Socio-Work Processes Psychology from the University of Cagliari in 2019. During his degree, he provided educational support to minors with motor and intellectual disabilities. During his post-graduate internship, he gained experience both at a private medical-neuropsychological practice, assisting with the administration of psychodiagnostic tests for specific learning disabilities, and at the University of Cagliari’s S.I.A. Office, assisting tutors in providing study support to neurodivergent individuals or those with disabilities.
After obtaining her professional license, she enrolled in the Order of Psychologists of Sardinia (n° 3486) and in the School of Specialization in Health Psychology at the University of Cagliari. She simultaneously worked as a freelance psychologist and conducted university research in psychology and neuropsychology from the perspective of clinical psychology of disability. She also participated in a research project on the effectiveness of mindfulness-based psychological support interventions.
Subsequently, she provided psychological support at the University of Cagliari’s counseling and support center as part of the ProBEN Project, conducting psychological support for the student population and awareness-raising meetings for families and academic staff in collaboration with the University’s SIA Office.
In 2025, she earned a Specialist Degree in Health Psychology from the University of Cagliari, also qualifying as a psychotherapist, and subsequently earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Sexology from the University of Milan-Bicocca.
She currently practices as a private psychologist and psychotherapist, offering psychotherapy and sex counseling to individuals, couples, and groups. Her work focuses on relational dynamics and experiences of discrimination caused by minority stress, disability and neurodivergence, the LGBTQIAPK+ community, and gender equality, within a psychoeducational and intersectional framework. Alongside her clinical practice, she maintains a constant commitment to psychological outreach, using accessible language and focusing on promoting both individual and collective well-being.
