Gianmarco Frau
Member of the Order of Psychologists of Sardinia (n. 3888). Graduated with honors in “Developmental and Socio-Work Processes Psychology,” with a focus on social/work issues, from the University of Cagliari in 2020. His master’s thesis was entitled: “Burnout in Chronic Unemployment – An Exploratory Study.” This dissertation, in addition to theoretical chapters outlining the state of the art, discussed the experimental research conducted by adapting the burnout assessment tool (OCS – Leiter and Maslach, 2005) to the context of reference. This is the first empirical study to use the construct of job burnout in the unemployed category. The qualitative and quantitative research led to the publication of two articles: “Burnout without a job: An explorative study on a sample of Italian unemployed jobseekers,” published in 2023 in the “Journal of Public Health Research,” and “Job Seekers’ Burnout and Engagement: A Qualitative Study of Long-Term Unemployment in Italy,” published in 2023 in the “International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.” Furthermore, the research was presented at the XIV SIPSA National Conference (2023) “Local and global trajectories for building health,” organized by the University of Cagliari. To qualify for the profession, a research internship was completed at the Department of Education, Psychology, and Philosophy of the University of Cagliari. This provided insight into the theoretical and technical aspects underlying scientific dissemination, with a particular focus on publication in indexed journals. This included in-depth knowledge of common software for analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, as well as the main analytical methods. Expertise in preparing students for university exams, particularly in psychometrics, as well as in writing theses. Expertise in preparing and writing CVs. Currently, he is a specialist at the School of Health Psychology in Cagliari and is completing an internship within the OHCS Ob6 Project, which involves participating in the development of the methodological basis and bibliographic research for the development of an integrated intervention model for SNPS and SNPA, based on the One Health approach: exposure assessment and measurement of impacts associated with the contamination of highly polluted areas and implementation of a questionnaire on the perception of environmental risk.
