SHORT BIO Lorenzo Putzu received his Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cagliari in 2010, 2012 and 2016, respectively. He has been part of the PRA Lab since 2017 and has held the position of Assistant Professor since October 2021. His main area of expertise is the study and development of pattern recognition techniques and their application to image and video processing and analysis. In particular, his contributions are in the fields: people health, mainly medical image analysis for the purpose of providing tools for automatic or semiautomatic diagnosis as a support for medical activity; people safety and security, mainly image and video analysis from video surveillance cameras.
