Associate Professor / Smart Video Surveillance

SHORT BIO Giorgio Fumera is Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Cagliari.

His research interests are related to statistical pattern recognition and machine learning, including ensemble methods, adversarial machine learning, classification reliability and uncertainty quantification, with applications to computer vision for video surveillance tasks. He published over one hundred papers on these topics in international journals and conferences. He is associate editor of the Pattern Recognition and Pattern Analysis and Applications journals, and a member of IEEE and IAPR.
