PhD Student / Biometrics

SHORT BIO Andrea Panzino received the Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering in September 2023, with the discussion of the thesis entitled “Morphing attack detection methods and algorithms”. Since 2020 he collaborates with the Biometrics Unit of the Pattern Recognition and Applications Laboratory and since 2023 he has been a student in the PhD course in Electrical and Electronic Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Gian Luca Marcialis. His research activity is mainly focused on the use of classifiers based on Convolutional Neural Networks and face recognition systems, alongside the exploration of attack methodologies utilizing facial morphing techniques. He has also participated in research projects related to the development of facial, iris and EEG signal-based acquisition and recognition systems.
