From 2024 to 2025 he served as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group, at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari, and with the Politecnico di Milano (2025).<\/p>\n<p>Since August 2025 he has joined the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group as an Assistant Professor (RTDA).<\/p>\n<p>He was awarded with \u201cBest Student Contest Paper \u2013 Runner Up (2nd Place)\u201d for the paper \u201cCompensation of Systematic Measurement Errors in PMU-Based Monitoring Systems for Transmission Grids\u201d during the 2021 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), and, with \u201cBest Student Contest Paper\u201d for the paper \u201cFault Identification in Three-Phase Distribution Networks Improved by Line Parameter Estimation\u201d during the 2023 IEEE 13th International Workshop on Applied Measurements for Power Systems (AMPS).<\/p>\n<p>He won the 2022 Fellowship for Study and Research Abroad \u201cMassimo d\u2019Apuzzo\u201d and, in 2025, the Ph.D. Award &#8220;Carlo Offelli&#8221; for his Ph.D. thesis awarded by the the Italian Association Group of Electrical and Electronic Measurements (GMEE).<\/p>\n<p>His research interests include parameter estimation and fault location for modern power networks, phasor measurements, and instrument transformers (ITs).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Publications<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?hl=en&amp;user=7_nuj8gAAAAJ&amp;view_op=list_works&amp;sortby=pubdate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Scholar<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scopus.com\/authid\/detail.uri?authorId=57235538600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scopus<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carlo Sitzia received the M.S. degree (cum laude) in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy, in 2020 and 2024, respectively.
