Davide Sitzia was born in Oristano in 1998. He currently is a Ph.D. student of the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Cagliari.

He received the Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering (110/110 cum laude) from the University of Cagliari in September 2022.

Master’s Thesis title: “Statistical characterization of Phasor Measurement Units’ measurement errors”.

He worked as research scholar on the following topics, within the project “WAMS and PQM and DFR measurement systems for the grid monitoring”, funded by the Consorzio EnSiEL in collaboration with Terna S.p.A.:

  • “Implementation and characterization of a synchronized measurement data simulator to test the functionality of a Wide Area Monitoring System”
  • “Hardware-in-the-Loop Testing for PMU-based Wide Area Measurement System”
