Carlo Sitzia received his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) in 2020 from the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy, where he is currently pursuing his PhD with the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

He is co-author of several scientific papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. His main research activities focus on parameter estimation of modern electrical networks and instrument transformers.

He was awarded “Best Student Contest Paper – Runner Up (2nd Place)” during the 2021 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC) for the paper entitled:
“Compensation of Systematic Measurement Errors in PMU-Based Monitoring Systems for Transmission Grids.”

He also won the 2022 Fellowship for Study and Research Abroad “Massimo d’Apuzzo” funded by the Italian Association Group of Electrical and Electronic Measurements (GMEE).
