{"id":1900,"date":"2016-01-28T14:35:54","date_gmt":"2016-01-28T14:35:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.unica.it\/internationalphdist\/?page_id=1900"},"modified":"2025-04-07T07:44:29","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T07:44:29","slug":"phd-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.unica.it\/internationalphdist\/phd-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"PhD Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>The PhD in Innovation Sciences and Technologies is regulated according to <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.unica.it\/internationalphdist\/files\/2024\/10\/Regolamento-Dottorato-STI_revisione-16-07-2024.pdf\">this document <\/a><\/strong><\/span>(see also <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.unica.it\/internationalphdist\/files\/2025\/01\/E-Rules-PhD-STI_revised-16-07-2024.pdf\">English version<\/a><\/span>) starting from XL cycle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Our students are supposed, apart from the other requirements established\u00a0by the <u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unica.it\/unica\/it\/studenti_s01_ss05_sss02.page\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">current rules issued by the University of Cagliari<\/span><\/a><\/u>,\u00a0to have published or accepted\u00a0for publication at least two papers in reputable scientific\u00a0journals by the time of the presentation of their third year\u00a0activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD students enrolled in XXXIV, XXXV, XXXVI and XXXVII cycles are required to achieve a B2 English Level before their admission to PhD thesis defence. C1 English level is requested for those ones enrolled in XXXVIII and subsequent cycles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>All PhD students (with or without grant) enrolled in XXXVIII cycle are requested to spend at least 6 months abroad at foreign institutions for research purposes in the framework of their thesis&#8217; activities. This requirement also\u00a0applies to PhD students with grant of previous cycles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The University of Cagliari should be always indicated as affiliation of PhD students involved in papers published in the framework of their PhD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To be reported in the Acknowledgements of papers published in the framework of the PhD: X.Y.
