AGH team is focused on the optimization of the HTC and co-HTC processes supported by LCA, the disposal of hydrochar and post-processing liquid as fuel and soil improvers, and the recovery of valuable nutrients. In addition, the AGH team conducts the dewaterability performance of hydrothermal slurry, the combustion and gasification performance of hydrochars, the biomethane potential of hydrothermal slurry and filtrate, as well as post-processing liquid purification methods, including distillation, wet oxidation, coagulation, and membrane techniques, and extraction of microplastics from hydrothermal slurry
