The HTC-Network Workshop 2025<\/strong> was held on 17\u201318 July 2025<\/strong> at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB)<\/strong> in Potsdam, Germany.
The meeting brought together over 50 researchers and industry representatives<\/strong> from all over the world to discuss recent progress on the HTC-Roadmap<\/strong>, share ongoing research on biomass valorization, and develop a common experimental approach<\/strong> for assessing hydrochar carbon stability within carbon removal frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop combined scientific presentations, laboratory visits, and interactive discussions, providing a highly engaging and productive setting for knowledge exchange. A field trip to Carbonauten GmbH in Eberswalde offered participants an opportunity to explore large-scale pyrolysis operations and discuss the practical challenges and opportunities of industrial hydrochar deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, the event represented a valuable step forward in aligning research efforts, harmonizing testing protocols, and strengthening collaboration within the international HTC community toward sustainable carbon management and circular bioeconomy solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
