Housed in the university\u2019s technological and engineering environment, it offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees and plays a strategic role in advancing scientific research, innovation, and high-level training to address environmental challenges at regional, national, and global scales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><div class=\"table-responsive\"><table class=\"table  table-striped table-bordered table-hover\"  class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>\u2699\ufe0f<br>The Solid Waste Laboratory (LARESO) is a research laboratory at the Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina dedicated to the development of technological solutions for solid waste management and resource recovery. Its activities focus on thermochemical processes, waste valorization, environmental assessment, and the production of value-added materials from biomass and organic residues.
