CarboREM was founded in 2017 as an innovative startup based in Trentino (Italy). Since 2022, it has been part of the Greenthesis Group, a vertical waste management company and one of the biggest players in the sector in Italy (400 M\u20ac turnover, >600 staff). CarboREM developed its own technology, with patents in the HTC continuous process and in hydrochar applications. The company provides engineering and lab services to R&D centers and companies that want to approach HTC. In addition, CarboREM is able to act as EPC-O in order to engineer, build, construct, and operate two sizes of proprietary turn-key plants: 1) 5,000\u20137,000 ton\/y or 2) 40,000\u201344,000 tons\/year, with digestate\/sludge at 10% d.m. as input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) C700 PLANTS: HTC Containerized size for small-medium size Plant; 0,7 ton\/y flow, 110 sqm. (incl. HTC reactor, Hot Oil Boiler, HEXs, PLC, pump, tanks, odour management). Available since 2019. Available for long test running (now in a WWTP customer site).
2) C5000 PLANTS: HTC Skid Mounted for medium-big size Plant; 5,0 ton\/y flow, 500 sqm. (incl. HTC reactor, Hot Oil Boiler, HEXs, PLC, pump, tanks, filterpress. odour management). Available since 2025. Running with sewage sludge digestate at Liscate Plant (Greenthesis Group).<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
