{"id":265,"date":"2026-06-19T12:14:36","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.unica.it\/bullybustercenter\/?p=265"},"modified":"2026-06-19T12:14:37","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:14:37","slug":"international-students-from-bydgoszcz-university-of-science-and-technology-visit-the-bullybuster-research-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.unica.it\/bullybustercenter\/2026\/06\/19\/international-students-from-bydgoszcz-university-of-science-and-technology-visit-the-bullybuster-research-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"International Students from Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology Visit the BullyBuster Research Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE)<\/strong> of the <strong>University of Cagliari<\/strong> recently welcomed a delegation of <strong>12 students and professors<\/strong> from the <strong>Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering of Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology (Poland)<\/strong> for a one-week academic visit dedicated to the activities of the <strong>BullyBuster Interuniversity Research Centre<\/strong>. The initiative was organized within the framework of the long-standing academic collaboration between the two institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During their stay, the participants had the opportunity to explore the BullyBuster research ecosystem through the programme <strong>\u201cBullyBuster: Artificial Intelligence for Safer Digital and Physical Communities\u201d<\/strong>, hosted by DIEE. The programme showcased the Centre\u2019s interdisciplinary approach to preventing bullying, cyberbullying and digital violence through the integration of artificial intelligence, behavioural analysis and educational research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activities included presentations on the evolution of the BullyBuster project and its methodological framework, together with demonstrations of several AI-based technologies developed by the research team. Participants attended sessions on aggressive text detection using natural language processing, visual deepfake detection, AI-assisted teacher support systems and crowd anomaly detection based on computer vision techniques. They also took part in interactive demonstrations and discussions with researchers and PhD students, gaining first-hand experience with the Centre\u2019s technological solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A special session was devoted to the application of artificial intelligence beyond the educational domain, presenting research on maritime safety and search-and-rescue technologies currently demonstrated during the America\u2019s Cup events in Cagliari.
