The BullyBuster Research Centre of the University of Cagliari<\/strong> played a crucial role at Maratona Bullismo 2026<\/strong>, held in Rome at the Adnkronos Palace<\/strong> and promoted by the National Observatory on Bullying and Youth Distress<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the initiative, the Centre coordinated the panel entitled: \u201cFrom the Analysis of Youth Distress to Field Prevention: awareness, prevention and support\u201d<\/strong> (https:\/\/magazine.unica.it\/bullismo-e-disagio-giovanile-unica-protagonista-alla-maratona-bullismo-2026\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session represented an important multidisciplinary discussion on bullying and cyberbullying prevention, child protection, and emerging digital vulnerabilities. The debate also focused on the impact of new technologies and artificial intelligence on violence, manipulation and youth distress, together with possible educational, psychological, social and technological strategies to address these challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the panel, the BullyBuster Centre managed an exhibition and demonstration area throughout the two-day event, presenting the main scientific and technological results developed within its research activities. Students, teachers, institutional representatives, professionals and citizens visited the booth to explore tools, methodologies and applications designed to counter bullying, cyberbullying and new forms of online vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strong interest generated by the demonstrations confirmed the growing attention toward research-driven and technology-based approaches capable of supporting prevention and youth well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panel brought together representatives of the BullyBuster Centre together with institutional, educational and professional stakeholders, further strengthening the role of the Centre as a national reference point for interdisciplinary research dedicated to child protection and youth distress prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A particularly significant moment of the event was the signing of a Framework Cooperation Agreement<\/strong> between the BullyBuster Centre and the National Observatory on Bullying and Youth Distress<\/strong>, chaired by Luca Massaccesi<\/strong>. The agreement establishes a structured collaboration aimed at promoting joint research, training activities, scientific dissemination and awareness initiatives in schools, as well as supporting prevention policies against bullying, cyberbullying and emerging forms of youth vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in Maratona Bullismo 2026 represents a further recognition of the work carried out by the BullyBuster Centre in recent years and contributes to strengthening the national visibility of the University of Cagliari<\/strong> in the fields of child protection, social innovation and responsible use of digital technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
