One main threat on the diffusion of renewable energy in Mediterranean region is the inadequate public perception regarding the benefits of solar energy investments and the difficulties on administrative and licensing processes. FOSTEr in MED project aim to contribute to solve those issues through activities of awareness addressed to citizens, schools students and local administrators.
Solar technologies and its technological trends will be promoted at local level by territorial animation events (seminars) in order to raise the awareness of local citizens and schools students about solar energy issues. The seminars will be realized at national level in every country involved in the project, the expected result is about 3500 students informed and 350 citizens informed. Local public administrators will be also involved in an awareness transnational activity aimed to set up, with a participative approach, at least 6 policy proposal papers, which aim to foster the solar technologies adoption and to overcome local normative barriers.
